Service overview

From approved scope
to working system.

Install the farm's utility backbone, coordinating water, electrical distribution, backup power, ventilation, cooling, lighting, drainage and selected renewable-energy systems. Connections, protection, controls and testing are managed so utilities are ready to support animal housing, milking, feeding and environmental equipment as an integrated farm system.

The execution plan sequences water and electrical distribution, backup power and lighting and ventilation and cooling against site readiness and contractor access. Interfaces around drainage and selected renewables are inspected and tested before utility protection, controls and tests. The practical endpoint is a connected system with documented checks, trained operators and a clear acceptance position, not a set of separately delivered components.

Decisions & controls

The execution plan resolves these points against the approved project scope.

Key execution decisions

  • Sequence water and electrical distribution with backup power and lighting
  • Assign responsibility for ventilation and cooling and its interfaces
  • Agree site access, cutover and testing for drainage and selected renewables
  • Define the acceptance point for utility protection, controls and tests

Key implementation controls

  • Inspect water and electrical distribution against the approved scope
  • Verify interfaces for backup power and lighting
  • Record functional checks for ventilation and cooling
  • Control any change affecting drainage and selected renewables
  • Close safety, quality and completion items before utility protection, controls and tests

What you
receive

Farm Utilities Installation
  • Water and electrical distribution completion record
  • Backup power and lighting interface and test record
  • Ventilation and cooling operating or configuration record
  • Drainage and selected renewables verification record
  • Signed acceptance status and outstanding-item register

How the service

    Plan the work

Sequence work packages, access windows, contractors, interfaces and commissioning requirements.

  3. 03

    Build & install

Carry out the construction, installation, configuration or rollout defined for this service.

  4. 04

    Integrate & verify

Connect adjacent systems, inspect completed work and close interface gaps.

  5. 05

    Test & train

Complete applicable functional tests, commissioning or controlled trials and prepare the operating team.

  6. 06

    Hand over

Record acceptance, close outstanding items and transfer the agreed working system and documents.

What we need
from you

  • Approved scope and drawings for water and electrical distribution
  • Supplier or contractor information for backup power and lighting
  • Site access, existing-system and operating constraints
  • Named client contacts, responsibilities and acceptance criteria

Interfaces & boundaries

01

Engineering defines the approved requirements for water and electrical distribution; this service executes them.

02

Supply provides the specified equipment and materials for backup power and lighting; installation and integration are coordinated here.

03

Routine operation of ventilation and cooling begins after acceptance and handover.

Role in the Grid

Farm Utilities Installation puts water and electrical distribution into working use at the relevant Grid unit.

Network value

The implemented system gives participating units a defined way to operate and verify backup power and lighting.

Embedded delivery. Within Dairy Grid, this capability is embedded in the relevant Unit/Package or network operating model and is not promoted as a separate add-on to members.

Connected services

Farm Renewable Energy Installation service illustration01Implementation service

Farm Renewable Energy Installation

Install selected solar PV, battery storage and applicable heat-recovery systems and integrate them with the farm electrical and energy architecture. The service covers mounting, electrical connection, protection, monitoring, testing and coordinated handover rather than limiting the scope to standalone renewable-energy equipment delivery.

Farm Utilities Modernization service illustration02Development service

Farm Utilities Modernization

Modernize farm utilities as one resilient support system covering water, power, barn climate, energy transition and utility continuity. The program is designed for farms where production growth or automation is being constrained by weak utility capacity, inefficient energy use, heat stress, unreliable backup systems or fragmented monitoring.
