Connect with GEO Dairy, join its programs and take part in the dairy ecosystem.
GEO Dairy creates different ways for farmers, businesses, professionals, investors, students, buyers, producers and other dairy-industry participants to connect with its activities.
Participation may begin simply by subscribing to relevant updates, continue through membership or a GEO Dairy account, or develop into active involvement in programs such as Dairy Grid, Dairy Academy, Dairy Market and Dairy Award.
Not everyone needs the same relationship with GEO Dairy. Some visitors only want to follow developments; others want to enrol in an Academy program, sell through Dairy Market, invest in Dairy Grid or enter Dairy Award.
Participation means joining, subscribing to, registering for, or using a GEO Dairy ecosystem or program as its intended participant.

Participation means joining, subscribing to, registering for, or using a GEO Dairy ecosystem or program as its intended participant.

Subscription is the simplest way to participate in the GEO Dairy ecosystem. Visitors should be able to choose the information they want rather than receiving every GEO Dairy communication.
A subscriber should eventually be able to choose interests such as these. Choose a few and watch the sample feed sort itself.

Participants should not need separate identities for every program. One account becomes the common access layer, while permissions and program participation remain separate. Tap a locked module.
One identity does not mean one level of access.
Where formal GEO Dairy membership is introduced, it can provide a structured relationship for individuals, businesses and institutions that want ongoing participation in the wider dairy ecosystem.

Dairy Grid participation involves a business relationship, technical standards and operating responsibilities. It therefore requires qualification beyond ordinary account registration.

Dairy Market will support several participant types. Participation in Dairy Market should be curated: professional functionality may require business and product verification before listings or RFQs become active.

Participation may include:

Farmers · Entrepreneurs · Investors · Students · Veterinarians · Engineers · Processors · Distributors · Retailers · HoReCa · Importers · Exporters · Consumers · Institutions
Participation requirements depend on the activity. Reading a public dairy briefing may require no registration, while investing in a Dairy Grid business or selling food through Dairy Market requires substantially more qualification.
An individual may also be linked to an organization.
Depending on the program, participants may need to:
Participation should create a trusted network, not merely a large database of registrations.
Because one account may eventually interact with multiple GEO Dairy programs, users should understand:
A user should not assume that Academy enrolment data automatically becomes Dairy Market commercial data, or vice versa. Permissions should remain purpose-specific.
GEO Dairy’s approach to participation.

Make it easy to understand how to participate.

Do not force every participant into the same relationship.

Increase qualification according to risk and responsibility.

State what participation means and what it does not mean.

Allow participation across programs through one coherent digital environment.
Some people begin by subscribing to an industry update. Others enrol in Dairy Academy, enter Dairy Award, sell through Dairy Market or invest in a Dairy Grid business.
Participation provides a common gateway into these different relationships while allowing each GEO Dairy program to maintain the standards, qualifications and responsibilities appropriate to its purpose.
